HONG Kong-based global supply chain giant LF Logistics is expanding down under, committing to a new facility developed by LOGOS.
LOGOS is developing a purpose built circa 13,000 sqm logistics facility at its Marsden Park Logistics Estate in Sydney. LF Logistics has committed to a long-term lease on the facility, which is scheduled for completion in August 2020.
This deal comes after LOGOS recently developed a three-storey, 102,197 sqm facility for LF Logistics at its Wujiang FOHO Ecommerce Hub Logistics Center in China.
LOGOS head of Australia and New Zealand Darren Searle said the company is pleased to be extending its partnership with LF Logistics for their first facility in Australia.
“Marsden Park Logistics Estate offers tenants with excellent transport access to both the M7 and M4, enabling them to service greater Sydney and further afield; a key requirement given the continued growth in eCommerce. We look forward to working with LF Logistics to deliver this new facility and welcome them to the Estate alongside existing customers Orrcon Steel, EBOS, Lyppard, Valleyfresh and eStore,” he added.
LF Logistics’ head of Australia Greg Amos said following the successful Wujiang project, the company decided to extend its partnership with LOGOS for its launch into Australia.
“Marrying the strengths and expertise of the two companies, this new facility marks a strong start for our Australian operations as we build a greater presence and network across the country. Our new Australian operations is backed by our extensive logistics experience across a range of industries in Asia,” Amos said.
TM Insight will also act as the project manager on behalf of LF Logistics.
Marsden Park Logistics Estate is owned by the LOGOS Australia Logistics Venture (LALV), a partnership established in late 2014 between LOGOS and its capital partners to acquire and develop prime logistics estates across Australia. The estate also includes a purpose built 6,224 sqm facility for the global produce distributors, Valleyfresh; a 12,515 sqm facility for eStore, Australia’s largest third-party logistics provider; a 3,563 sqm facility for veterinary wholesale distributor, Lyppard; and a circa 16,000 sqm warehouse and office facility for Orrcon Steel.
On completion, Marsden Park Logistics Estate will comprise over 100,000 sqm of prime, logistics space.
