A two-building residential development has been proposed for Toronto’s Sheppard Avenue West.
The plans, filed by Farid Khajehpour, president of Fredco Trading Inc., call for a four-storey, 15-unit condominium building and an 11-storey rental apartment building with 43 residential units and two retail units on the ground floor.
The development would merge two lots at 234 Sheppard Avenue West and 223 Harlandale Avenue. They are currently occupied by a two-storey commercial building and a one-storey single detached home, respectively.
Architectural plans drafted by Options Architects detail indoor and outdoor amenity space for both buildings. Units would include one-, two- and three-bedroom suites, ranging from 400 sq ft to 950 sq ft in size.
The rental tower would front onto Sheppard Avenue West, with the shorter condominium building behind it. An underground parking garage with 15 stalls would connect the two buildings.
The site is serviced by the TTC’s 84 bus and it is 1 km from the Sheppard-Yonge subway station.
The plans are awaiting review and approval from Toronto City Council.
