THE New South Wales government is selling a vacant 21-hectare Huntingwood East industrial site in Western Sydney.
Planning Minister Rob Stokes said the site is ready for business with necessary zoning and infrastructure in place.
“This is a win-win for Western Sydney, with land unlocked for more jobs and funds for new and improved open space. Projects like this make people’s lives better by creating places where people can work, play and live happy, fulfilling lives.
“As Sydney grows, it’s important the community reaps the benefits of that growth through more jobs close to home, high-quality open greenspace areas, better public facilities and improved transport and infrastructure,” he added.
Stokes said proceeds from the sale would also fund new and improved open greenspace such as the NSW Government’s Green Grid network of parks, cycling and walking paths, and improvements to the Western Sydney Parklands.
