THE Victorian chapter of the Urban Development Institute of Australia has elected Peter Vlitas as the new president.
Vlitas is the executive general manager of AVJennings in Victoria. A long standing member of the UDIA, Vlitas has served on the board of directors for six years, two of which as vice president.
“I’m excited about being given the opportunity to play a greater role in shaping the future of property in Victoria in what are challenging times.
“The UDIA is an influential and effective association that serves our members exceptionally well, while also making a positive contribution the Victorian community,” Vlitas said.
“The provision of infrastructure to our fast-growing suburbs, maintaining an effective and long-term planning framework, housing affordability and sustainability in the development industry; are just some of the critical issues facing UDIA.
“These matters are at the very heart of the communities our members are creating and I look forward to making a positive contribution to the industry as UDIA President in Victoria,” he added.
