A lakeside motel in British Columbia’s interior is on the block for $13m.
Interlink Realty has the assignment for Slumber Lodge, at 274 Lakeshore Drive West in Penticton. The valuation for the 46-room motel works out to $283,000/room.
Slumber Lodge previously sold for $3.5m in 2017, a year after BC Assessment valued it at $3.1m, according to Western Investor. NAI Commercial Okanagan brokered the deal on behalf of a numbered B.C. company.
The motel was built in 1960, and the rooms recently were upgraded. It has an indoor pool, laundry facilities and on-site grills.
The property is across from Okanagan Lake Beach and Rotary Park and a kilometre from Cascades Casino and Penticton Golf & Country Club. Penticton Regional Airport is 5 km from Slumber Lodge.
Penticton is known for its beaches, wineries and outdoor activities, as well as its annual peach festival. It’s in the southern Okanagan Valley, approximately 45 km from Kelowna and 260 km from Vancouver.
