Brookfield and ARCI have joined forces to redevelop Brookfield’s Suncor Energy Centre office complex in Calgary.
The firms will invest $90m into the mixed-use project. Plans call for an amphitheatre, public space, a performing arts venue and a food hall, including an outdoor lounge and rooftop dining patio.
Brookfield also plans to add amenities exclusively for tenants at the property, including a lounge, a fitness centre and a conference facility.
Built in 1984, Suncor Energy Centre comprises two towers of 32 and 52 storeys, with 1.7m sq ft of office space. There’s also about 24,000 sq ft of retail space.
The site is at the intersection of 5 Avenue SW and Centre Street South. It also has access to the Plus 15 skywalk system.
The multi-phase project is expected to be completed in 2027.
