Vancouver’s Goodman Commercial has expanded its team of brokers with four additions meant to boost the company’s capabilities as it expands eastward into the Fraser Valley.
Frontline Real Estate Services founder Justin Mitchell has joined the company along with his team, including Megan Johal, Sam Taktsang and Adam Lawrence.
“We decided that it would make sense to bring a well-oiled team under the Goodman umbrella,” Mark Goodman, principal of Goodman Commercial, told Green Street News. “Now we have a larger footprint and presence in the Fraser Valley, but we can also service more business in Vancouver and Burnaby, New Westminster and so forth.”
The former Frontline team are industry leaders in the Fraser Valley and suburbs east of Vancouver, having transacted $4.2bn during the last 16 years.
Goodman said that since the new members joined, in the last six weeks the company has listed five properties and will be launching two more court-ordered sales within the next couple of months.
The four will help the company enhance its abilities in all asset classes, he added.
The former Frontline team had expanded its own footprint westward closer to Vancouver with moves into the Tri-Cities and Burnaby, among other areas.
Goodman said in his newsletter, the Goodman Report, that the new members also are well-known for the depth and quality of their market intelligence, stressing that such expertise will help supplement Goodman Commercial’s existing analytical offerings.
Goodman said he has known Mitchell for more than 15 years, and the two often spoke about working together.
“We have generally the same market philosophies,” he said. “They saw an opportunity, and it just clicked.”
