Mortgage lender Nesto has appointed Susan Kudzman to its board of directors.
Kudzman will help guide the firm in building “the mortgage ecosystem of the future” for its clients, including commercial and financial institutions.
Kudzman has held positions at large organizations, serving as executive vice president and chief risk officer at Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec and Laurentian Bank. She also sat on the board of PSP Investments — a Montréal-based pension manager with $27bn in net real estate assets under management.
“Her deep expertise in risk management, governance, and financial strategy will be invaluable as we continue our growth trajectory and reinforce our commitment to offering Canadians a seamless, transparent and digital-first mortgage experience,” said François Lafortune, chair of Nesto Group.
Last June, Nesto acquired fellow lender CMLS Group. The combined firm manages a portfolio of more than $60bn of mortgages in the commercial and residential sectors.
