Pinnacle International Realty Group is considering demolishing the Toronto Star building to make way for two residential towers, The Globe and Mail reported.
The developer submitted a initial proposal calling for a 90-storey tower and a 95-storey tower during a meeting in late April with the design review panels of the City of Toronto and Waterfront Toronto. A company executive told the publication that it has not made any final decisions on its plans.
Pinnacle has already completed a 65-storey building on the site and is approved build a 92-storey tower there as well, according to The Globe and Mail.
The firm is also developing a 105-storey hotel and condominium property, dubbed SkyTower at Pinnacle One Yonge, that is slated to be the country’s tallest tower, according to the report. It’s expected to be complete in 2026.
