CRAIG Dunstan, the founder of MacarthurCook has teamed up with Stephen Hawkins, the former head of funds manager at the Goodman Group, to form a new corporate advisory business.
The new business, D H Flinders Limited, will be focused on the Asia Pacific markets and provide capital markets, funds management and real estate advisory services.
Both have extensive experience in the field, Dunstan was the founder of real estate investment managers MacarthurCook Limited and Australian Unity Funds Management Limited and Hawkins was previously head of funds management Asia for Goodman Group and CEO of Macquarie Goodman Asia.
Joining Dunstan and Hawkins will be Tanya Do, who has held roles with Mirvac, Macquarie Goodman and Deutsche Bank; and Fiona Dunstan, who has held roles with Knight Frank, Clayton Utz, Minter Ellison and EmersonBach.
Additional senior executive appointments are expected to be announced in the coming months.
Dunstan said as investment and fund management organisations look increasingly to capitalise on the Asian growth markets, our direct experience and expertise in product development and funds management in this region will be a valuable management tool.
”We are putting together a team of advisors with extensive hands-on senior management experience. Clients will benefit from the advice of people who have actually done it before,” Hawkins said.
As well as providing advice to REIT managers, D H Flinders Limited will also service the financial services industry and listed small cap companies.
Hawkins said many small cap companies find advisory firms either too costly or lacking in management experience.
“D H Flinders is well placed to provide ongoing advice and management support to these businesses and assist them in achieving their growth objectives,” Hawkins concluded.
