QANTAS, AFL and Woodside chairman Richard Goyder has splashed out more than $10 million on a modern luxury home in Melbourne’s affluent South Yarra.
The four-bedroom five-bathroom house at 12 Rockley Road, is located around 5.5km out from the CBD, and boasts a private lift, infinity pool and six-car garage, all within close proximity of Toorak Village and Chapel Street.
Industry sources indicated Richard Goyder and wife Janine Goyder spent $10.4 million in June, after the home was listed for $9 to 9.5 million in May by Sarah Case and Mark Wridgway from RT Edgar Toorak.
While RT Edgar Toorak didn’t reveal the purchaser’s identity at the time of sale, Janine Goyder placed a caveat on the house last month.
With multiple living spaces, poolside alfresco zones, 12kW solar panels and two fully appointed home offices, the home was created in a collaboration between Workroom architect, builder Agushi and Nathan Burkett Landscape Architecture.
Spanning 675sqm on a 484sqm lot, the house was last sold in January 2021 for $8 million, after selling for $5,250,000 in 2018 when the property was occupied by a large Edwardian family house.
The property is the latest addition to the Goyder’s hefty property portfolio across Australia, reportedly including a hobby harm near Toodyay, a holiday home in Augusta and a five-bedroom house in Mosman Park.
