YardNine has agreed terms on a major pre-let at its City office development, 80 Fenchurch Street, in a move which will take the 240,000 sq ft scheme to around three-quarters let, React News can reveal.
Californian software solutions firm, Salesforce has gone under offer to take 120,000 sq ft at the rebranded EightyFen development, leaving around 60,000 sq ft available to lease in the building.
In October, Salesforce reportedly entered into talks to take as much as 100,000 sq ft of offices at AXA IM Real Assets’ 22 Bishopsgate tower in the City. However, discussions did not progress.
Salesforce, advised by Cushman & Wakefield, currently leases 11 floors in Salesforce Tower, also known as 110 Bishopsgate, formerly the Heron Tower. The group took a further 10,845 sq ft in the tower last October, leaving half a floor of the building available. The business let the 35th floor ahead of a lease expiry from a previous occupier, taking its total occupation of Salesforce Tower up to 135,755 sq ft.
The EightyFen deal is the latest in a rapid leasing campaign at EightyFen. In January, YardNine, which is bringing forward the speculative development for Partners Group, pre-let 70,000 sq ft to flexible workplace provider, Convene.
It was the first pre-let of the office development following its topping out last September. The 14-storey scheme is scheduled for completion in June 2020.
Knight Frank & JLL are leasing agents for EightyFen.
