SAVILLS has bolstered its Victorian team with two appointments including former AECOM national director David Hayden as the new state director.
Hayden will take over from Chris Adam who was recently promoted to national director – commercial.
Hayden has a broad management background complemented by extensive property and building experience gained over a 25 year career across the Asia Pacific region including roles as national director commercial with AECOM Australia and New Zealand, managing director of Sweett (OK) Group, and associate director of Burns Bridge Australia.
Savills project management managing director Gary Finnegan, said he was pleased to be able to make such a high calibre appointment to a pivotal role within the Victorian branch.
“It is always pleasing that the business is able to entice such highly regarded candidates. It reflects well on the business and provides us with people who can make an immediate impact.
“I am more than confident that David will utilise his substantial knowledge and experience to further build on the success of Savills’ Victorian Project Management business,” Finnegan said.
Savills has also appointed Melissa Farina as sales executive in the residential projects team.
“Melissa has a proven track record in sales particularly within Melbourne’s apartment market which has seen quite dramatic change over the last few years,” State director residential projects Joseph Catanese said.
“Her knowledge, experience and contacts will be invaluable as the team grows to meet the increasing demand for inner-city living,” Catanese said.
