CONSTRUCTION is now underway on the latest stage of Sekisui House Australia’s Sanctuary community, Willow in Wentworth Point.
Comprising 309 apartments, Willow is part of Sekisui House Australia’s $2 billion mixed-use development at the former industrial area of Wentworth Point, around 13km west of the Sydney CBD.
As one of Sydney’s last north-facing riverfront apartments, Willow has recorded nearly 100 sales to date.
“More than ever, people see the appeal of living at one of Sydney’s last and largest absolute north-facing riverfront apartment addresses. It’s the final piece of the jigsaw in the reimagining of the Parramatta River at Sydney’s heart,” said Paul Wainwright, senior sales and operations manager, apartment and mixed-use developments at Sekisui House Australia.
“Sanctuary also provides extensive public open space and a range of facilities, which is a major drawcard.”
The Architecture and Design Studio TURNER-designed Sanctuary masterplan spans 9.4-hectares across six stages, with the masterplan design allowing for future public transport links within its streetscape, including the $602.4 million megaproject – Parramatta Light Rail.
Each home at Sanctuary will meet the highest standards of quality and sustainability, supported by the developer’s 4 Gold Star iCIRT rating.
The master-planned community is positioned where the Parramatta River, local wetlands and parklands converge, with the buildings to be connected by a 3,150 sqm neighbourhood green, beautifully landscaped public open space featuring a covered communal dining area, waterplay.
A recreational facility known as Revive is also part of stage two. Residents will have access to an indoor swimming pool, spa, sauna and fully equipped gymnasium.
Sanctuary is 16 kilometres from Sydney’s CBD and within a two-minute walk to Sydney Olympic Park Ferry Wharf. Bus, ferry and train networks directly link with major transport nodes, 45 kilometres of bike paths surround Sydney Olympic Park and over 47 hectares of nature reserves surround the site. Wentworth Point Public School is within a two-minute walk and the proposed Sydney Olympic Park High School would be a three-minute walk.
Sekisui House Australia have delivered 2,100 homes and are constructing seven buildings in Wentworth Point.
In July, the group secured more than $85 million in sales in just a few hours at the launch of Veue Parkside, the fourth stage of Veue in Norwest within The Orchards masterplanned community.
