TWO development ready sites totalling more than 74,000 sqm adjoining Thales Australia's manufacturing facility in the Victorian town of Bendigo, will hit the market this month.
Colliers International’s Travis Hurst and Dungey Carter Ketterer Real Estate’s Robert Ketterer have been appointed to sell two parcels of industrial 1 zoned land on behalf of Thales, a defence contractor owned by a French multinational company.
Hurst said the properties at 2 Bushmaster Court and 31 Bushmaster Court Bendigo represented a unique opportunity to acquire a property for owner-occupancy or further development.
Located 150 km north-west of Melbourne, Bendigo is Victoria’s third largest urban centre and the major regional centre in central northern Victoria. With a current population of more than 100,000, Bendigo has been growing at a rate of 1.7% and is expected to reach 140,000 by 2030.
“Seldom do such significant parcels of industrial land become available for acquisition in Bendigo,” Hurst said.“This offering is the result of a joint initiative between Thales Australia Ltd and the City of Greater Bendigo to make available industrial property to meet a tight market supply.”
Totaling around 74,000 sqm, the properties are accessed via a recently constructed access road and all have access to utilities including electricity, telephone, water, sewer and natural gas.
“Surrounded by a mix of industrial, commercial and residential properties, the site offers scope for a range of uses that could include warehousing, light manufacturing, trade supplies, office or a mix of any of these,” Ketterer said.
