Vantage Data Centers is investing $500m to expand its footprint in Québec.
The funding will support the development of QC24, the fourth and final facility in the Denver-based firm’s Québec City campus. QC24 will add 32MW of capacity, bringing the campus’ total to 86MW.
The building is slated to be designated LEED gold and will be powered by nearly 100% renewable energy provided by Hydro-Québec. QC24 is expected to be operational in early 2027.
The 30-acre campus is at 2675 Boulevard du Parc Technologique, less than 1 km from the intersection of Autoroutes 40 and 440.
Vantage also operates three campuses in Montréal. Once the newest project is complete, the entire Québec portfolio will have a total computing capacity of 178MW and will represent nearly $2.5bn in investment.
Vantage has holdings in North America, Europe and Asia. Sureel Choksi is president and chief executive.
