- What A parcel set for redevelopment in Burnaby is in play
- Why The lot is home to two restaurants but has the potential for two 40-storey buildings
- What next The property is in a growing neighbourhood that’s part of Burnaby’s Edmonds Town Centre plan
A prime parcel in the Vancouver suburb of Burnaby has been listed for $30m.
The lot, a little over an acre at 7229 Kingsway in the city’s Edmonds section, hit the market late last week. CBRE has the marketing assignment.
There’s a McDonald’s and Me-n-Ed’s Pizza on the land now, but it could house two high-rises, each up to 40 storeys.
The parcel is one of the highest-density sites in Burnaby’s Edmonds Town Centre plan, according to the listing. The plan is currently in public consultation, with final city approval expected this fall.
The property is close to a community centre, a library and the SkyTrain. A potential 50-storey development is nearby.
