A LOCAL developer has paid $1 million for a development site at Albury and has plans to develop a $4 million, 4,000 sqm bulky goods centre.
Located at 52-68 Borella Rd, the 7,863 sqm site borders the 20,000 sqm Harvey Norman Homemaker Centre, which hosts tenants such as Freedom Furniture, Spotlight, Early Settler and Beacon Lighting.
Savills’ Keith Kooloos in conjunction with Stanley & Martin’s Kel Barclay brokered the sale, under instructions from receiver Rodgers Reidy.
Kooloos said the expressions of interest campaign drew a high level of interest due to the property’s location next door to the Harvey Norman centre, favorable zoning, and its close proximity to Bandiana Link Road which connects Wodonga to Albury.
The agents said the very well located site had drawn strong interest from local developers keen to take advantage of its proximity to Harvey Norman and the ease of access from both Albury and Wodonga.
