AMALGATED is finalising plans to launch a residents-only apartment project in Broadbeach after plans were approved by the Gold Coast City planning committee yesterday.
The project which is expected to be approved by full council next week will be fourth dedicated residents-only high-rise in Broadbeach.
Known as Eclipse, it will be developed on a prime Broadbeach Boulevard site overlooking the ocean.
It will include a range of ultra-luxury super-apartments – some with as much as 30 metres of ocean frontage.
Head of project market CB Richard Ellis’ Chris Litfin said Eclipse would continue a stylish trend that has made Broadbeach one of the Gold Coast’s most desirable residential addresses.
Details of Eclipse are being kept under wraps until the project is launched in the coming weeks but Litfin is promising ‘something special’.
“Amalgamated Property Group is certainly looking at taking residents-only apartment living to new levels of luxury and quality.
“Broadbeach has long been recognised as a premium beachside environment with a comparative small number of high rise apartments and in recent years, we have seen some impressive residents-only projects developed that are attracting top end buyers who want to live in this cosmopolitan suburb,” he added.
“This evolution began several years ago with the Howard Group’s Vogue project and continued with Juniper’s Waterline and APG’s $85 million Verve boutique apartment development, which sold out in only six months,” Litfin continued.
Eclipse will be APG’s third development in Broadbeach following the successful delivery of its Verve beachfront project for residents only which was completed in 2006 and more recently the $200 million Sierra Grand Residential Resort.
The Barry Morris and Graham Potts-led APG recently settled Sierra Grand, and is working up plans for the former Volare restaurant site opposite the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The new project follows APG’s major success on the Burleigh Heads Esplanade where it has achieved more than $30 million in sales in its completed Ivory tower and has secured more than $15 million in sales in its $90 million Element twin towers which was recently approved by the Gold Coast City Council.
