MELBOURNE-based Hirsch & Faigen have chosen Hutchinson Builders to deliver their third Gold Coast residential project, the $200 million Yves development on Mermaid Beach.
Announced last September, Hirsch & Faigen’s Yves will comprise 145 luxury residences across 26 levels and sits metres from the Hedges Avenue beachfront strip and around 7km out from the Gold Coast CBD at the 7-9 Mermaid Avenue site, which was acquired by the developers back in June of 2021.
“This is the third time we have partnered with Hutchies on our Gold Coast projects and we’re delighted to have the team on board to bring our latest vision, Yves, to life,” said Daniel Faigen, director at Hirsch & Faigen.

“We are always quite discerning with the projects we take on, and Hirsch & Faigen’s developments are precisely the standard of quality architecture that we are proud to bring to the Gold Coast,” said Jack Hutchinson, associate director at Hutchinson.
The project is anticipate to employee as many as 200 workers at its peak, with an average workforce of around 100-120 workers on site and 40-50 offsite for the duration of the 2.5 year construction program.
The delivery of Yves has been fast-tracked following its successful sales campaign, which saw 50% of available residences sell-out within months.
The Rothelowman-designed development will will include one-, two- and three-bedroom floorplans, in addition to a sub-penthouse and penthouse floor. With resident’s only amenities such as a 25 metre lap pool, kids garden, gym, yoga studio, wellness spa, sauna and a rooftop sky lounge and wine bar.
The project will follow Hirsch & Faigen’s other successful developments on the Gold Coast, the $75 million Hemingway Palm Beach and the $85 million Emerson Kirra, both of which are currently under construction by Hutchinson.
Yves Mermaid Beach is due to see construction commence in May, 2022.
