JACINTA Allan’s government is delivering more housing with projects in Melbourne’s north and south east reaching new millstones.
In the south east, civil works are now underway at Olio in Officer, ahead of the construction of 135 homes as part of Stage 2 of the project, adding to the 93 homes that are already being delivered as part of Stage 1.
35 homes are already officially complete as part of Stage 1 with the final homes for this stage set to be completed by Sienna Homes in late 2024.
While Coomoora in Springvale South, all townhouses and land lots at the development are now sold out, with construction of the 47 townhouses well underway, with Creation Projects appointed to deliver these new homes on behalf of Development Victoria.
While in the north, construction underway on 89 new homes in Wollert as part of the $22 million Habitas Aurora project.
With the procurement process for a construction partner to deliver Koukoura Drive, which will improve access for residents and the future Business Park to the Hume Highway, also underway.
Construction on the key access road is set to commence in late-2024 and targeting a late-2025 completion.
The state government’s Housing Statement reforms are targeting the delivery of 800,000 new homes to be built across the next decade.
