CROWN Group’s Iwan Sunito in launching a new platform in One Global Residences and Resorts, with plans to disrupt the high-end residential market.
Eyeing luxury residential developments for the new brand, Sunito will build on the success of his SKYE Suites brand.
One Global Residences and Resorts will go a step beyond SKYE Suites’ current offering of hotel amenities as an add on for owner-occupiers to a new model where access to some services will be included from the get-go.
“One Global Residences and Resorts will cater to a growing community who are looking for a curated experience in premium residential ‘facilities’. It will set a new benchmark in premium apartment living in Australia. It will be an Australia first,” said Sunito.
The new offering will see hotel staff provide service and end-user experiences for both hotel and resident occupiers, including for example providing 24-hour room service, hiring a private jet or having a top chef cater a private function.
Sunito said this new model was inspired by global branded hotels such as Aman Residences and Bvlgari Hotels and Residences.
“I thought to myself, we need this here too. Australian lifestyle choices are changing. The four or five bedroom trophy home with a huge back yard and a pool isn’t everyone’s dream home anymore. As a society, we’re much more lifestyle focused, and this new combined residences and hotel offering will deliver on that vision,” added Sunito.
One Global Residences and Resorts will target the top-end of residential apartment purchasers and travellers looking for the best inner-city locations and a new hotel experience.
“It’s a scalable model with global ambition. We’re already being approached by developers who don’t have the track record of building luxury residential with hotel style amenity,” said Sunito.
The first properties to launch under the brand will include Mastery in Waterloo, in addition to a prime site in Macquarie Park.
“We’re looking to partner with them, bringing our hotel and residential expertise with us, to help accelerate their growth for mutual benefit,” concluded Sunito.
