A key Bundall carpark has been sold for $2.4 million.
The 1,626 sqm car park is located at 6 Holden Place and was sold by vendor Alexander Commercial Properties Pty Ltd, linked to William Owen-Jones, to Bundall Bridge Holdings Pty Ltd as trustee for the Bundall Bridge Freehold Unit Trust.
The trust is associated with renowned hotel industry figure Anthony Parmenter and his business partner, co-developer of Casuarina Beach on the New Tweed Coast, Mike Dodd.
Colliers International acted as the buyer’s agent and negotiated the deal at a rate of $1,476 per sqm. The deal settled late last week.
The site has development and building approval for the construction of a three level office building incorporating two levels of basement parking.
Darrell Irwin of Colliers International on the Gold Coast said the land is currently used as a car park with tenants on a month to month lease arrangement.
Last month, Bundall Bridge Holdings bought a 1,519 sqm property housing the new Surfers Rowers for $2.875 million.
The premises has just undergone a $4 million renovation and opened for business last week. Surfers Rowers now comprises an 800 sqm bar and restaurant area, a 100 sqm outdoor riverfront terrace and two upstairs function rooms also totaling 800 sqm.
