EIGHT Hotels Australia has opened the first luxury boutique hotel in Canberra.
The Diamant Hotel Canberra opened following $60 million makeover.
Located by Lake Burley Griffin in the heart of Canberra, the hotel forms part of the $300 million mixed use redevelopment of the NewActon precinct.
Eight Hotels engaged international architectural firm Fender Katsalidis to recreate the 1920’s structure.
Located within the Parliamentary Zone, the Diamant Canberra is only moments away from the National Museum, National Gallery, Canberra School of Art & Music, National Film and Sound Archive, Canberra Theatre, Llewellyn Hall and many other cultural, political and entertainment icons.
The new Diamant Canberra complements the Diamant Hotel Sydney which opened in October 2007.
Eight Hotels has plans to roll out more boutique hotels in Melbourne, Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
