GLENVILL has sold out the first release of 19 townhouses of Alphington project The Mills in Melbourne’s inner north, collecting $18.99 million in three hours on Saturday.
The sales of the two and three-bedroom offerings averaged a shade under $1 million each, and brought forward the release of another 11 two-bedroom and eight three-bedroom townhouses.
The Mills is part of the 14-hectare YarraBend precinct, which will eventually comprise around 1,500 dwellings on the former Amcor paper mill site.
Two-bedroom offerings at started from $875,000, and from $1.1 million for three-bedrooms. All feature rooftop terraces and have been designed by DKO Architecture “to strongly reflect the site’s industrial past”, according to Glenvill.
“Some drawcards that have attracted buyers to The Mills precinct include the prime location within the development, just 200 metres from the Yarra River and at the heart of the community close to the many amenities that will be on offer, as well as the quality industrial chic design of the townhouses,” director of sales and marketing at Glenvill, Ashley Bramich said.
Saturday marked the second precinct release in the YarraBend development, with townhouses in the first release sold out within 48 hours.
