QUEENSLAND surf and skate retailer Sideways Surf has leased a prime showroom within the Springwood centre at Underwood in south-east Brisbane.
The store at 1-15 Lexington Rd is the fourth location for the chain, following established outlets in Tweed Heads South, Gold Coast and Ashmore.
CBRE’s Damian Crocetti negotiated the lease for 600 sqm at $139,000 per annum gross plus GST, with Sideways Surf taking a five year lease.
Crocetti said the opportunity to lease space within the Springwood Centre had been a key draw card, leading to renewed interest in the remaining showroom space within the centre.
Terry Hearn of Sideways said location was a key factor in the lease.
“Our general feeling for the location is, it’s great. It’s close to the M1 with on and off ramps for both directions of traffic making getting here simple, and the Springwood Center itself has easy access off the main road coupled with plenty of parking,” Hearn said.
The owner of the centre, Centuria Property Funds CEO Jason Huljich said “We welcome Sideways Surf to the Springwood centre and are very excited to have a tenant of this quality join our other established retailers,”
Sideways Surf joins fellow tenants Fitness First, Lollipops Playland & Café, Sam Riley Swim School, RSPCA World For Pets in the centre.
