Morton Salt has sold 50 acres of industrial-zoned land along Morton Drive in Windsor, Ont., for $20m, RENX reported.
CBRE brokered the deal for Morton Salt, which listed the property last summer. According to the report, the property received multiple bids. The transaction was the largest in Windsor so far this year.
The unidentified buyer is a local commercial investor that owns over 1m sq ft in the Windsor area and “sizable” land holdings in southeastern Ontario, according to the CBRE broker cited in the report.
The property is close to the under-construction Gordie Howe International Bridge, E.C. Row Expressway and Highway 401. It also has MD2.5 zoning, allowing for a variety of heavy industrial applications, RENX reported.
