QUEENSLAND property group Pradella has completed the West End’s $260 million residential development Waters Edge.
Waters Edge provides 234 luxury apartments across two eight-storey buildings on the site of a former cardboard factory site.
Waters Edge is the first stage of a $570 million redevelopment of the three-hectare West End site, which will ultimately provide a mixture of residential living, retail and commercial premises. The project was Pradella’s sixth in the West End/South Brisbane area over the last decade.
Pradella’s development manager Brett Lentz said buyer demand had ensured the development had weathered tough economic times.
“From the onset strong buyer interest has driven this project, with Waters Edge one of only a handful of Brisbane developments to have started construction in late 2009 as the global financial crisis was hitting.
“While interest has remained strong, there are still opportunities for investors or owner-occupiers to secure an apartment,” he added.
The two eight-storey towers, Drift and Reach, offer a mixture of one, two and three-bedroom apartments with prices starting from $499,000.
