THE Kangaroo Valley Bowling and Recreation Club in southern New South Wales has been sold by Ray White Commercial Shoalhaven for $800,000.
The property at 10 Marshall St Kangaroo Valley was sold to an investment company by agents Scott Baxter and David Thorpe on behalf of the vendor, the Nowra Bowling Club.
Thorpe said the new owners had yet to disclose their plans for the Kangaroo Valley club, which ceased operations in late January.
“The former club is situated on a 1.44ha block and the site includes a club house as well as a three bedroom brick cottage, which is currently rented for $250 per week,” he said.
Thorpe said there is potential for the site to be redeveloped.
“The site is zoned 2(e) village lifestyle which does enable the new owners to subdivide the land into residential allotments,” he added.
Kangaroo Valley is a picturesque community located on the Kangaroo River in the Shoalhaven region, approximately 170km south of Sydney.
