ROBINA has welcomed another education provider, with Arcadia College purchasing a 2,500sqm site from master developer Robina Group.
Arcadia joins Bond University, Evocca College, The French Beauty Academy and Australian Industry Trade College in the Gold Coast suburb, which also features the All Saints Anglican School and Somerset College.
The sale was negotiated by Robina Marketing Australia’s Marcus Weld and settled this week after approval under the Robina Central Planning Agreement.
Arcadia, which was established on the Gold Coast in 2013, will move from its commercial offices in Varsity Lakes.
Arcadia College, established on the Gold Coast in 2013, is currently based in commercial offices at Varsity Lakes with plans being finalised for the new site in Robina.
Robina Group general manager Hylton Slater said Robina’s location at the geographic heart of Gold Coast City makes it a strategic choice for education providers.
“We have a number of education providers circling approved, development-ready sites in this precinct, and Robina continues to grow its reputation as an education hub,” he said. “A central location and availability of public transport were key priorities for Arcadia College, making Robina its number one choice.”
Slater said Robina, a designated Principal Regional Activity Centre, had become one of Gold Coast City’s key service nodes.
“No other Gold Coast business hub is as easily accessible from across the city as Robina and that is appealing to major service providers, particularly in the education and health sectors,” he said. “The location close to the M1 Motorway puts 96% of the city’s population within a 30-minute drive and the train station and transport hub makes it just as easy to reach via public transport.”
