PROPERTY tycoon Lang Walker has unveiled his latest project, an exclusive private island resort on Fiji’s Kokomo Island.
The resort has been developed over the past three years and is slated to open in March 2017.
It will comprise five exclusive, three to six-bedroom, residences on the island, located on the edge of the celestial Kadavu Island Group.
The island includes rainforest and gardens that feature native flora and fauna, with white sand beaches encircled by The Great Astrolabe Reef, home to exotic coral gardens and sea life.
“This is a passion project for my family and Kokomo Island embodies my main interests, relaxing on the water’s edge and enjoying myriad activities on the water,” Walker said.
As well as accommodation and services the island will also include an array of water based activities, as well as tennis court, gym, spa and restaurants.
The island’s luxury residences are expected to be on sale shortly, with villas available for short stays. Accommodation includes a beachfront residence, five hilltop luxury residences, and 21 beachfront villas, each with their own pool and private walled garden.
The Great Astrolabe Reef is the fourth largest in the world and just metres from the shores of Kokomo Island, with guests able to dive, snorkel, fish, sail or kayak in the waters.
The island will also offer authentic Fijian spas and gourmet Kokomo cuisine, featuring fresh, sustainable produce grown on Kokomo or sourced from the surrounding waters and islands.
