PUBLICAN Ian Burford is offering the Burwood Inn in Newcastle’s beachside suburb of Merewether to the market.
The Inn has been updated by the Buford family since acquiring the hotel in 2009, offering food and beverage, accommodation and gaming operations.
It is being offered by Daniel Dragicevich and Ben McDonald of CBRE in conjunction with Deane Moore from Moore and Moore Real Estate by expressions of interest closing at 5pm.
Dragicevich said the Burwood Inn’s high cash flow business underpinned by its premium land value are key investment highlights for the listing.
“The ‘heavy lifting’, so to speak, has been done with the hotel offering buyers a highly profitable ‘turnkey’ operation in a premium beachside location,” he said.
Moore, said Newcastle hoteliers were “rightfully enjoying their day in the sun” as the buyer pool for pub assets in the Newcastle region continued to grow.
