A DOWNSIZING couple has splashed out $5 million for a double penthouse in the Gallery House development on the Hamilton riverfront in Brisbane.
The Brookfield Residential Properties development in the city’s inner-north has seen $30 million worth of penthouses and three-bedroom apartments sold off-the-plan, with two penthouses remaining.
The latest sale will see two penthouses converted into a bespoke residence of 694sqm.
Total Property Group director Adrian Parsons said the penthouses’ $5 million price tag made the sale one of Brisbane’s highest in recent years.
He said the top-end of the market was strengthening and riverside addresses were in high demand.
“The higher end of the Brisbane apartment market is gaining momentum, particularly in projects where the residences have been designed with owner occupiers in mind,” Parsons said.
