INSURANCE group Allianz Australia has finalised a 10-year lease agreement to relocate its Sydney headquarters to Wynyard Place.
Allianz will relocate from 2 Market St to 10 Carrington St from October 2020.
The insurance group has leased around 31,000 sqm from levels one to nine.
Allianz Australia managing director Richard Feledy said as workplaces adopt a more autonomous work style, companies need to provide employees with more choice around how, when and where they work.
“The move to Wynyard Place will provide premium grade facilities and amenities and enable us to create the kind of workplace needed to take Allianz into the future.
“The move to Wynyard Place reflects Allianz’s shift to a more collaborative and flexible work environment and will see Allianz adopt activity based working and a new standard in workplace design. It will also provide greater connectivity with Allianz’s North Sydney premises which will house its new centre of excellence for IT services,” he added.
Brookfield is developing Wynyard Place. It sold a 49.9% stake in the $1.7-$1.9 billion development to AMP Capital and UniSuper in September last year on a yield of 3.75%.
Allianz will join the National Australia Bank at the 27-level 67,000 sqm building. NAB has pre-committed for 45% of the space.
