PELLICANO’S residential platform has kicked off construction of a $41 million build-to-rent project in Brisbane’s Bowen Hills.
Perry House will be the group’s third project within its $172 million build-to-rent project to commence in the last six months, featuring 77 apartments with expected completion in the September quarter of 2022.
Pellicano Living’s other two BTR projects currently underway encompass 170 residences across the $85 million Stanley House project in South City Square Woolloongabba, and 70 residences across its $46 million Solarino House in Brunswick.
Designed by SJB, Perry House will include communal rooftop space, a 10 metre lap pool and spa, gym facilities, and a “breakout space” for work-from-home amenities. There will also be 215 sqm of ground-floor retail and on-site hospitality space.
Pellicano Living currently manages 600 residences across seven projects, with over 900 residents renting through the company. Its future pipeline tallies over 1,500 apartments on existing land holdings.
Managing director Nando Pellicano said the group’s first build-to-rent project in the sector was Clayton House, which launched in the 1970s and where Pellicano still owns and manages the 24 townhouses.
Elsewhere in Brisbane, Mirvac and Frasers Property have tweaked the designs of their new inner suburban build-to-rent projects. The groups were named as the two proponents in the Queensland Government’s build to rent pilot project in October, and will deliver the first developments of their type in the city.
