A NEW architectural residential development in Brisbane’s Indooroopilly has been given the go ahead.
Ethereal Residences by North, located at 97 Swann Road, was designed in collaboration between Rothelowman, Carr Design and Form Landscape Architects.
“For Ethereal Residences, we have brought together three highly respected design houses to create a concept worthy of its premium inner west location,” said Scott Ginnivan, managing director of North.
The low-rise buildings will comprise 46 two- and three-bedroom apartments, as well as two-bedroom and multi-purpose room apartments, terraced down a hillside with direct frontage to Swann Road, Burns Street and Rennie Street.
“The site is surrounded by low density zoning and a beautiful, quintessentially Brisbane landscape and it was important to us that final design outcome was of a scale and design that complemented the area,” added Ginnivan.
The apartments, which will boast expansive balconies, will featuring draped scalloped balustrades, allowing for views to the CBD, the surrounding suburbs and the Border Ranges and Mount Barney.
“Good architecture is all about authenticity and creating places where people want to live. The market’s expectations are high and there’s a maturity and appreciation for design that wasn’t here five years ago,” said Ginnivan.
The premium residences will target the owner-occupier and downsizer market, offering private resident amenities including a plunge pool, bbq area and extensive landscaping.
The development sits 2.8 kilometres from the University of Queensland, 1.4 kilometres from Indooroopilly Shopping Centre and 7.5 kilometres from the Brisbane CBD, and is also placed within minutes of Ironside State School, St Peters Lutheran College, Brisbane Boys College, and Brigidine College.
With planning approval now received from the Brisbane City Council, Ethereal Residences by North are set to be launched to the market by Colliers International in early 2022.
