QUEENSLAND developer Marquee Development Partners’ Monterey Kirra Beach apartment project has reached 100% sell out status, as demand remains high for luxury housing on the southern Gold Coast.
With all apartments now sold, the project has banked more than $125 million in total sales across the three-, four- and five-bedroom residences spanning the 14-level tower at 4-6 Musgrave Street.
The last month saw an average sale price of $5.79 million per apartment achieved, equating to more than $20,000 per square metre of apartment space.
The last three sales included $6.09 million for a 277sqm apartment, $5.79 million for a 267sqm apartment and $5.49 million for a 267sqm apartment, to Sydney and Brisbane buyers.
“Top end demand for the southern Gold Coast continues to go from strength to strength as evidenced by the overwhelming response to Monterey Kirra Beach with interest coming from a mixture of Brisbane and interstate buyers looking to downsize or for a weekend or holiday home,” said Azura Griffen, sales manager at Marquee Development Partners.
“We had been working with several buyers from the start of the year that have all decided to commit in March citing more certainty around the economic climate and limited supply of new beachfront apartments on the Gold Coast.”
Resident amenities at Monterey Kirra Beach will include a including heated pool, feature poolside cabana, outdoor spa, European sauna, ocean-view gym, yoga lawn, surfboard wash station, business suite, private bar, and billiard lounge.
The project marks Marquee’s 10th development on the Gold Coast, with four other projects currently under construction in the city, each sold out and due for completion in the next three months with One Cannes and Shoreline Residence in Surfers, Northshore at Palm Beach and Sol in Kirra Beach.
The development also recently announced the acquisition of the largest remaining absolute beachfront development sites on the Gold Coast, located in Palm Beach and spanning 3,304sqm with 40 metres of beach frontage.
