PROPERTY group Andrews Projects is the latest in a growing cohort of residential apartment developers in south east Queensland to launch its own construction company.
Known as A Construct, the new company will be responsible for the delivery of Andrews Projects’ $270 million Cascade development, a 229-unit master-planned community in Robina.
The announcement follows a challenging time in the south east Queensland construction sector, struck by limited resources and escalating build costs, that have caused a number of developers to self-deliver projects – a trend expected to continue as construction resources become more scarce and government infrastructure works ramp up in anticipation of the Brisbane 2032 Olympics.
Andrews Projects sales manager Sarah Andrews said the move into construction was a natural step for the family-owned company, with founder and director Danny Andrews having been in the construction industry for over four decades.
“A Construct will allow us to take control of our projects and deliver them in a more cost-effective and time-efficient manner for our future residents,” says Sarah.
Project manager and site manager positions have already been filled at A Construct, with the team focusing on the delivery of their first project. Offering two and three-bedroom apartments with wide vistas towards the Surfers Paradise skyline and hinterland, apartments range in price from $850,000 to $2.25 million. More than 60% of residences have already been sold with construction to commence on-site imminently and delivery expected in 2026.
Cascade features an eye-catching facade, floor-to-ceiling double-glazed windows and large liveable balconies with ample shading.
Internal fixtures and fittings include Miele appliances, timber flooring and Caesarstone benchtops.
Residents will have access to a suite of amenities including a 25-metre resort pool, 170 sqm gym, sauna, cold plunge, steam room and onsite cafe.
