AROUND 300 apartments across mid-rise buildings of to 12 storeys could be introduced across an amalgamated site of nearly one hectare in Sydney’s north-west suburb of Castle Hill.
Developer Ecospective Property paid around $40 million for the 9,634 sqm site on Carrington Road in the Showground Precinct, with intentions to develop the multi-stage project.
Colliers International agents Guillaume Volz, Paul McGlynn and Zhenni Lu sold the collected site of 11 homes.
The Showground Precinct has seen several amalgamated lots come to the market in recent years as owners look to capitalise on the growing demand for townhouse and apartment living, spurred by construction of the Sydney Metro Northwest and Northconnex infrastructure projects.
That included the New South Wales government putting 1-5 Carrington Road to the market last year as part of its program to sell off 50 plots of state-owned land to developers to increase housing supply through Sydney’s north-west. The site is being offered with plans for 1,600 homes and 10,000 sqm of retail and commercial space.
