DAVID Devine’s DD Living has been given the go ahead for its $430 million premium residential apartment building in North Burleigh, Burly.
With the DA in place after plans were lodged last October, DD Living is set to develop the prime double 2,024sqm site into a landmark building with 40 metres of frontage, comprising 101 two-, three- and three-bedroom plus multipurpose room apartments, with four-bedroom penthouses topping out the 24 levels.
“We are excited to know that Burly will soon start to take shape and transform North Burleigh with its impeccable architectural design by Koichi Takada and interior treatments by Mim Design, who I have been working with for many years,” said Devine.
“Burly is inspired by six-star private residences around the world and the beautiful Burleigh Heads beach, with luxurious design treatments inside and out blending sophisticated cosmopolitan elegance and beachside living. We called the building Burly to evoke a sense of nostalgia as it was the original spelling of Burleigh back in the 1840s.”
TOTAL Property Group is managing the apartment sales at Burly and has reported strong interest in the development since the DA was lodged in October 2022.
“Burly has the exact mix of qualities that buyers of prestige property are looking for. The spacious three-bedroom-plus multipurpose residences at Burly are getting a lot of interest from buyers who would normally be looking for houses,” said Adrian Parsons, managing director at TOTAL Property Group.
“Burly’s six-star resort and lifestyle amenity, its prime position in North Burleigh opposite the beach within a short walking distance to boutique retail and dining in Burleigh Heads are massive drawcards.”
Located at 264-268 The Esplanade, Burly sits just 13km from Gold Coast International Airport and 6km from the Pacific Motorway.

Construction on Burly is anticipated to begin by the end of 2023, with completion forecast for 2026.
