Hôtel Omni Mont-Royal in Montréal’s Golden Square Mile is on the block with pricing guidance of $75m, Green Street News can reveal.
The 32-storey tower, at 1050 Rue Sherbrooke West, comprises 299 rooms. The valuation works out to $251,000/room. CBRE has the assignment on behalf of Omni Hotels & Resorts.
The 324,000 sq ft hotel, on nearly a half-acre, is at the intersection of Rue Peel and Sherbrooke, adjacent to McGill University. The hotel opened in 1976 as l’Hôtel Quatre Saison Montréal and was acquired by Omni Hotels & Resorts in 1999.
Amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, a 2,400 sq ft fitness centre, the 2,600 sq ft EQlib Spa, a business centre and ballrooms.
The hotel can be sold branded or unbranded. Mixed-use zoning allows for conversion to luxury rentals or a combination of hotel and condominium residences.
The property is 14km from Montréal-Trudeau International Airport.
Omni Hotels & Resorts is a privately held hotel owner and operator based in Dallas. The company was founded in 1958 and is owned by TRT Holdings. Its portfolio includes approximately 60 properties across the U.S., Canada and Mexico, with assets in urban and resort markets.
