A TROPHY home on the Noosa waterfront has sold for around $30 million in Queensland’s second largest residential sale of all time.
43 Witta Circle in Noosa Heads was constructed after two mansions were knocked down by vendors Richard and Mary Delaney and replaced with a three-storey four-bedroom home designed by architect Tim Litchfield.
The expansive fully furnished home includes its own private beach and jetty, with lift access, a 25-metre lap pool, office, music room, gym and subterranean carpark.
Tiffany Wilson and Nic Hunter from Tom Offermann Real Estate managed the sale, holding the listing for just two weeks and fielding interest from international and interstate parties.
“We were surprised at the number of people who came forward and we had to vet the number of people who came through because we wanted to make sure the new owners had a home that still had the element of privacy about it,” said Hunter.
“We’ve had 12 people in the last week looking for $20m-plus properties. It just shows the confidence people have in the Noosa market. Everyone who was interested had a long history with Noosa. They’d been coming here for 10 to 20 years plus and were now financially able to buy their perfect Noosa lifestyle house.”
The Delaney’s paid a combined $17 million for the two neighbouring sites on Witta Circa in 2018 and 2020.
The existing mansions on the properties were demolished, with the couple selling one of the blocks in 2021 for $13 million.
The top residential property sale in Queensland still remains Gina Rinehart’s $34 million purchase of for 17 Webb Road in Sunshine Beach, settled in March 2023.
