SANDY Chen Yi Fei has picked up a waterfront home at 52 Arabella Street, Longueville for a cool $23 million, setting a new suburb record.
Sister to fund manager and lender Owen Chen, Sandy purchased the Roberto Del Pizzo-designed five-bedroom three-bathroom home, which occupies 1,924sqm across two separate titles, after another of her properties was burnt to the ground in an arson attack.
Beyond the now destroyed heritage-listed Northwood home, Sandy owns three other houses on Arabella Street alone.
This is the first time number 52 has sold since being built with solid double brick and concrete construction by master builders Kearey Construction.
The home includes expansive Travertine terraces on all levels, lift access throughout plus a boathouse and five-car basement garage plus front carport.
With the house spread across two titles, the sale includes a current DA providing the additional option to create a second residence complete with swimming pool and access via Nott Lane.
Owen Chen and family collectively own nine houses in Longueville and Northwood alone, for a combined value of $88 million.
