LOW cost airline, Jetstar Airways, has signed a lease at Coles Group’s recently refurbished building at 222 Bourke Street Melbourne.
Jetstar has leased 3,355 sqm and will relocate its head office to 222 Bourke Street.
Savills Australia office leasing manager Gordon Wyllie, who negotiated the deal with colleague Mathew Kent, said the airline had agreed terms on a long term lease, with an option, over level four of the former Coles Store building.
The rental was not disclosed but according to industry sources it is in the high $300’s per sqm gross.
Wyllie said Jetstar has experienced significant growth and wanted to consolidate their staff.
He said the company was currently accommodated over three levels at 473 Bourke Street which Savills had been appointed to sublease.
