CB Richard Ellis has relocated its Adelaide offices to 151 Pirie St whilst at the same time promoting David Reid to head up the industrial team.
CBRE has taken up 800 sqm of space on level 5 of the building, which the agency handled the sale to German fund Real I.S. in 2006.
The modern 12,000 sqm building overlooks Hindmarsh Square in the heart of the Adelaide CBD. CBRE manages the building, which has a 5 star NABERS energy rating.
CBRE Adelaide managing director Philip Rundle said the move had been prompted by the need for larger space following CBRE’s acquisition of the Megaw & Hogg national valuations business earlier this year.
“After an exhaustive property search, CBRE identified 151 Pirie St as the only prominent new age building in Adelaide which could accommodate our 70+ workforce in an office environment commensurate with the environmental and sustainability aims of CBRE globally,” he added.
The 12,000 sqm has a 5 star NABERS energy rating which is in keeping with CBRE sustainability policy.
The agency recently became the first commercial property services firm to achieve carbon neutrality for its global operations.
Meanwhile the agency has recently appointed David Low as sustainability manager to assist the Adelaide asset services team with energy efficiency, NABERS and Commercial Building Disclosure related issues.
At the same time, David Reid has been promoted to head up the industrial and logistics services team in South Australia.
Reid has over 10 years experience with CBRE and he takes over from Mark Boylan who has resigned to pursue interests outside of the property industry, after 14 years with the company.
Reid will lead a dedicated team of six people with further appointments to be announced shortly.
