The Marque Hotel in Melbourne is being offered for sale via an Expressions of Interest campaign.
Selling agent Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels will exclusively market the boutique hotel on behalf of its local owner.
The Marque Hotel Melbourne is located in the prime café precinct of Fitzroy Street in St Kilda.
The Marque Hotel opened in mid 2003 and comprises 80 guest rooms and features a gymnasium, conference and meeting rooms, a licensed bar, café and well known restaurant (Suger) and a 40-bay undercover security car-park.
“Being only minutes from the St Kilda Rd commercial district, Acland Street, The Esplanade, Albert Park Lake and only ten minutes to the CBD, Crown Entertainment Complex and Southbank areas, the Hotel attracts a wide mix of guests including strong support from the entertainment industry,” JLL Hotels’ senior vice president of investment sales Mark Durran said.
“The Marque Hotel Melbourne offers an exceptional opportunity for both investors and owner operators to realise this relatively new property’s full potential as the Melbourne hotel market continues to strengthen.
“Melbourne remains a hotel investment hotspot due to its relatively early stage in the traditional hotel trading cycle relative to other major Australian markets.
“The Victorian Government’s commitment to the tourism industry is well supported through the development of a new Convention Centre and related infrastructure due for completion in 2009,” he added.
The Hotel is currently managed by Rendezvous Hotels but is available with vacant possession.
