LIGHTING importer and distributor Sunny Australia Lighting will relocate its national head office after acquiring new Sydney premises for $6.25 million.
CB Richard Ellis agents Andrew Maher and Joshua Charles negotiated the sale of the Villawood office/warehouse at 40 Biloela St.
Sunny Australia intends to relocate from smaller premises in Revesby to accommodate continued growth in the business, which was established in Sydney in 1996.
Maher said the Villawood property had offered an outstanding opportunity for Sunny to grow its business in a facility which provided quality improvements in a more central location.
“With business confidence restored and excellent institutional grade assets being offered for sale, the level of owner occupier demand has grown significantly in recent months,” Maher said. “With most businesses typically looking to relocate over the January slowdown we envisage the remainder of 2009 will provide a continued stream of enquiry from this sector,”
The Villawood property comprises a 7,264 sqm freestanding office/warehouse on a site area of 14,450 sqm. The site is situated in close proximity to the Hume Highway, allowing access to the M5 Motorway, Parramatta Road and the Western Motorway to the north.
