THE development of a controversial 34-storey South Perth mixed-use project will go ahead after being approved by the Joint Development Assessment Panel.
Edge Visionary Living’s proposed Lumiere building at 74 Mill Point Road was given the green light following 18 months of discussion and court appeals, during which the planned building height was reduced from 44 storeys to 34, and the number of serviced apartments from 147 to 100.
The site is across the road from that of the proposed $178 million, 38-storey order valium overnight delivery mixed-use 88 Mill Point Road project by Chinese developer Zone Q Investments, which was knocked back by the Metropolitan Central development assessment panel earlier this year after the Supreme Court determined that the City of South Perth’s planning rules required buildings of over a certain height had to be mostly commercial.
Zone Q is close to completion of its $100 million Pinnacle development nearby, comprising a 20-storey luxury apartment tower and seven-level commercial building with 3,600sqm of office space.
