DEVELOPERS Doma Group and Englobo have received development approval for the $160 million DKSN precinct on the former Dickson Motor registry site.
After receiving approval for stage one, the developers will now begin work to deliver the 13,200 sqm campus style and atria office space, basement car park, and the mixed-use development including a first-floor childcare centre.
The ACT government will anchor the 13,200 sqm office space with a 20-year lease while Access Canberra and a cafe are housed on the ground floor, benefiting from proximity to existing transport infrastructure.
Doma Group’s senior development manager David Jameson said the DKSN development will combine work, life and play in one vibrant cultural precinct.
“The meticulously designed precinct will encompass one, two and three-bedroom apartments, carefully curated restaurants and retail, and a state-of-the-art office building.
“DKSN features an intimate eat-street where gastro pubs meet Asian cuisine, a green public plaza, deli market, and local gym. With office and residential spaces that consider lifestyle without compromising on location – this precinct will create new life in this urban transport hub,” he added.
“We have worked very closely with Bates Smart architects to deliver a precinct that intelligently supports and adapts to the modern lifestyle.” Jameson said. “The precinct boasts an impressive collection of amenities including a 90-place childcare facility, medical practice and the Melbourne inspired outdoor eat-street Challis Lane.”
Stage one of the residential apartments will be marketed by Colliers International from August.
