ELECTRICAL and lighting company Arlec will double its footprint in the West Park Industrial Estate in Truganina, agreeing to a 10-year lease with Frasers Property Australia for a new national distribution facility with an end value of $38 million.
The new facility, on Andretti Court, comprises of a 28,220 sqm warehouse, 800 sqm office and 100 car spaces, and the building will achieve a 6 Star Green Star Design & As Built v1 certified rating from the Green Building Council of Australia.
Nick Saunders and Hugh Gilbert from Colliers brokered the deal.
Arlec relocated their national distribution centre to West Park Industrial Estate in 2011.
Anthony Maugeri, general manager, southern region commercial & industrial for Frasers Property Australia said the 310-hectare estate continues to experience low vacancy rates and strong levels of enquiry for facilities over 10,000 sqm.
An adjoining speculative building of 6,807 sqm is being developed concurrently with the Arlec facility, and both facilities are expected to be complete by March 2020.
West Park Industrial Estate has frontages to Mount Derrimut, Boundary and Robinsons Road and is within one kilometre of the Deer Park Bypass-Robinsons Road intersection.
Companies in the estate include VISY, Australia Post, Austrans, Catch of the Day, CEVA Logistics, CEVA Nissan, Chep, CNP Group, DB Schenker, Denso, Fastline Logistics, Freight Specialists and Goodyear & Dunlop Tyres.
